VISIT THE LAKE SWAMP FORESTS OF BUNAWAN

Visit lake Mihaba and Kilobedan (Fish and Crocodile Sanctuary)

If you are from Butuan City take a bus bound to Davao (3-4 hours ride) and if you are from Davao take a bus to Butuan (4-5 hours ride) and stop at Bunawan Bus Terminal. From the Bus terminal take a motorized “sikad” to Bunawan Wharf and go to Bunawan Eco-tourism Coordinating Center for orientation and briefing and pay your fees such as entrance fee, boat rental, food, accomodation, etc. (But for the meantime as the center is in its construction phase you can go directly to the Municipal Tourism Office at Muncipal Office just at the back of the Bunawan Bus Terminal). At lakes mihaba and kilobedan we have visitor floating centers where you can take a rest for the whole night for you take the chance for bird watching early in the morning but be sure to abide the community rules and regulations.

Don’t forget to bring your camping materials and have a camping attire… also your flashlight if you want to stay the whole night at the lake. Have fun!!!
